Dear Colleagues,

We have the honour to invite you to the 2nd International Conference on Psychiatric Museums and History of Psychiatry which is to be held in the Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice in Prague, on 29 - 31, October, 2009.

We believe that the psychiatric museums are important institutions to save European cultural heritage as well as an important communication medium on mental disorders with public.

We would appreciate very much if the conference could become a medium to share information and to stimulate not only the specialists and the enthusiastic people but also the broad public to be interested in psychiatry as well as the history of psychiatry, the mental disorders and the different forms of public education in the fields of psychiatry.

We believe we will provide a pleasant milieu for this interesting event and no one will regret of taking a journey to Prague to participate in it, even though he/she perhaps participated in the XIX World Congress of World Association for Social Psychiatry (WASP), 2007 or the XIV World Congress of Psychiatry, 2008.
